This is probably the last year I will be able to wake up before Lucy on THE morning, this was the first year she began to understand the idea of Santa bringing presents, although she seems be in the know, if you know what I mean, she's all about pretend and loves it anyway.
Not too early in the morning Lucy woke up and ran down stairs to find presents from Santa, she was excited and amazed with the mini-trampoline.

And the pink puppy Lucy asked for over and over and over wasn't there but Santa found a baby puppy with a bottle and put a pink bow on her ear.

Lucy made a list of people she wanted to get gifts for and I took her to the dollar store. She picked out one gift for each person and wrapped them herself with a little help from Noni. She was so proud of herself and really put thought into each gift, a soccer ball hat for Daddy, her soccer coach and Uncle Kent, a pink feather duster for Austin and herself, pink socks for Noni, chocolate Santas for Mr. Rick, a toy guitar for Grandaddy, her great granddad, a back scrubber for Uncle Bill and a giraffe for Auntie. She gave me a bride and groom wedding cake figurine. She wants Gardner and I to have a wedding so she can be the flower girl.

We played all morning and my brother and his family came over for a late lunch of standing rib roast, yummmm, rutabagus, sweet potatoes and green beans. We had pumpkin pie for dessert. I made some Christmas cookies with protein powder, stevia and carob instead of flour, sugar and chocolate, they were good for people that haven't had real cookies for a very long time.

This is Austin with short hair, just a couple days before Christmas she decided to cut her own hair and gave herself an interesting version of a mullet, my mom came to the hair rescue and gave her this cute style. My brother wasn't too happy about the absence of her long hair, she looks so grown up.

What a great time we had, I had so much fun watching the kids play and play and play!
Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, too!
