Company Coming!

Yesterday our neighbor, Steve came by on his horse, Doobie Dan. He insisted we all get on and go for a ride. Lucy rode for a long time with Gardner and then she had a "lesson" from Steve on driving the horse, she took the reins without hesitation and off she went with him. She told me she wasn't shy anymore. I guess a ride on horse will do that to ya.


Lucy's cousin Austin came to visit this morning from Paris. Austin is four years old and Lucy thinks she the greatest thing since sliced bread. They played like they were riding horses on a rocking catapillar. What fun it is to have a friend! This was a wonderful break from last week when we were all steeped in boredom and tiredness. Gardner and I actually had a long conversation with Austin's momma, Aunt Tasha while the girls entertained themselves, I was amazed. We were all so happy to have had some company, it was good medicine for our feelings of isolation! We just wish they could have stayed longer. The smile on Lucy's face says it all.
