A Fun Game

I played a fun game with Lucy yesterday. She's been very interested in writing words and "writes" lots of what looks like long cursive sentences so I asked her to tell me some letters to write and I would write them and try to say the "words" like albibi and rbclh, some were quite hard to pronounce and she thought this was hysterical, then she wrote some words and I picked out some real letters in her elaborate cursive and read them , oh boy, what fun! We laughed and laughed. By the way, I got this straight out of John Holt's How Children Learn, if you haven't read it and are thinking about homeschooling or unschooling this is a great book. It was very interesting and made a case for having a large print New York Times newspaper posted on the wall.
Fun in a Box
Of course, boxes are fun, too.
Lucy and Auntie
And her Great Auntie is hilarious, extra hilarious!
