My 37th Birthday

Lucy and I took a trip to Paris last weekend to Noni's house. We have had 37 consecutive days in Texas with over 100 degree weather and this is the hottest year on record! The only thing we could do outside was play in the water. Lucy's cousin Austin joined in the fun.





The next day our prayers for rain were answered and we got a 1/4 inch at my mom's house. The girls had wonderful time running and playing in the rain. It cooled down from 104 to 76 in just an hour. We were all so thrilled to enjoy some cool weather!






Lucy doing her rain dance! We hadn't seen, heard or felt rain in many many weeks. My mom's kitten, Kittybaby, hadn't ever experienced rain in her life, she was hiding.




Lucy loved getting in and out of this tub. It's the simple things in life that are the most fun and amazing.
My mom made me a chocolate pudding whipped cream with pecans on the bottom Birthday "cake" and we blew out a candle. Sorry no pictures of that delicious dream cloud cake, it's in my tummy now! I had a wonderful birthday and the rain was the best present of all, well, the chocolate covered blueberries were good, too and the dark chocolate M&Ms, Lucy loved these!
