80 Yesterday, 30 Today

Thanksgiving was great. We relaxed at my mom's. We had an organic baked turkey and a deep fried cajun turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, broccoli salad, baked sweet potatoes and pumpkin custard. Delicious. I love getting up early and having coffee and cooking with my mom. I took not one photo all weekend. I thought about it but never actually got up and picked up the camera.

We also discovered that Lucy gets crazy hyper from corn syrup NOT chocolate as previously thought. I gave her a Tiger's Milk bar from a little vitamin store, sometimes it's hard to find a wheat free snack when we are out and about (I'm usually better prepared) and I thought this carob instead of chocolate bar would be a good thing, HA! The first and third ingredients were corn syrup, beware of this evil crack for kids stuff. She couldn't sit still for hours and woke up at least 4 times that night. The last time we had such a night was when she had M&M's. We will be avoiding CS from now on, I promise!!!! and guess what marshmallows have it, too. One of her favorite things!

I was turned on to Christine Kane a wonderful folk musician, click and listen. If anyone is reading, I would love one of her CD's for Christmas, hint, hint.

Yesterday was 80 degrees and today it's 30 degrees and snowing! How about that! Lucy had her first snow ice cream. She loved it. I've been taking advantage of the cold weather by making jelly from our grapes we picked in July.

December is coming, YIPPEE!
