More on Candida

I found a great candida yahoo group and have been following the protocol presented by Duncan Crow of selenium, undenatured whey protein, probiotics and inulin for about 2 months. I feel better than I have in my entire life. I finally feel like I'm really healing myself, with Duncan's help, of course. So many people on the candida group have been battling candida for years and in just a couple months on the whey, selenium and inulin have seen dramatic improvements. During my consultation with Duncan, I came up with a sort of health history. After seeing all that on paper I was kinda surprised. Including mono 2x in highschool, chronic stomach aches since childhood, chronic and lasting depression, anxiety, eczema, hypothyroidism, brittle hair and nails, chronic tonsilitis, groin cysts, boderline fybromyalgia, bad pap smears which led to a LEEP, and more.... Much of this got worse when I was eating a low fat vegetarian diet after college from 1997-2000. I'm not saying that vegetarianism can't be done in a healthy way, it just wasn't working for me at the time, way too many carbs feeding the candida and fungus in my body.
The physical problems are all gone now, for the most part. I'm not ready to dive into a sugar and wheat filled chocolate cake yet but maybe a bite or two next year.
The most amazing part is feeling calmer and happier, sharper and having a sense of clarity. I have happiness! Real happiness from the inside. I laugh alot more and am able to stand up for myself for the first time, I actually am beginning to have some self worth. I have been so afraid in the past and still get nervous in social settings but I feel stronger and free to be optimistic. I strongly believe this change in attitude and well being is due to getting the candida and toxins under control.
I'm going to do another Liver/gallbladder flush next weekend. I'm pretty excited to see what happens.

that is so wonderful!!! i'm glad to hear your success. i struggle with a lot of lower chakra imbalances that have lead to vaginal infections, kidney stones, urinary infections. so i'm thinking i will do a major cleanse sometime. and maybe get back into yoga one day. i've been pretty lazy these days. thanks for giving me some motivation.
