That was really good. I'll have to get her book. Yesterday, at the park, several times I witnessed parents doing exactly what she is talking about. One mother wouldn't let her 1 year old eat a strawberry by herself, (because she would get "dirty") and poor little girl kept coming to me for more strawberries, but the mom didn't want me to give her any. Makes me so sad. Another lady, not with our group, must have give her 5/6 yr old boy about 10 timeouts while I was there watching. She kept yelling at him because he wouldn't stay about 10-15 feet from her. My kids were exploring and having fun, and here she is yelling and demeaning her child because she didn't want to get up and away from talking to her friend! I wish I could send your link to her! It's really sad....../
