Lucy and I have been staying and playing at my mom's house the past couple weeks, we have had a wonderful time putting up Christmas lights with Mr. Rick and decorating the Christmas tree with Noni. We visited Santa at his downtown cottage and Lucy asked for a pink puppy, a real pink puppy. What?!? Anytime someone asks her what she wants for Christmas she replys, "A pink puppy, a tiny little pink puppy." I showed her some toy pink puppies at the toy store and she was not interested. What is Santa going to do?!?! Do pink puppies exist? I think she may be very disappointed when Santa brings her a little trampoline instead. What to do?!?! I may need some help here, Santa, I hope you have some good ideas!
We saw a live nativity play twice, once with her cousin Austin. This was a thrill and now Lucy reinacts the play with my mom's little nativity sets at home. She loves to exclaim, " You must follow the magic star!" to the shepherd and wise men. TOO CUTE!
We enjoyed the Christmas parade in downtown Enloe, the very small town my dad grew up in about 15 miles north of Paris. Our Auntie and Uncle Bill live there and are very involved with the community. Santa was at the community center afterwards and gave out coloring books to all the kids, at the end of the night when Santa was leaving for other engagements Lucy very shyly went up to him and asked for a new pink dress as her other one was torn, well she does wear it just about everyday alternating with the new Christmas one with pettycoats, is this a phase?
Yesterday we went to see the new Charlotte's Web movie with her cousin Hunter and Auntie, her first time at the movie theater. We sat on the second row, my neck is hurting today. We had lots of popcorn and chocolate ice cream afterwards.
Gardner will be here Saturday night and we are waiting with great anticipation! We miss him so much! Oh, he's been in San Diego working.

Amanda! I love you!...and your family! You're so adorable I can hardly contain myself. I don't know if I'm supposed to comment at the end of every section or just the one here at the bottom, but golly! I love your paintings! Always have. they're so expressive of you. I love that you're still inspired to paint and be the most awesome Mom in the world! i hope when I have a little thing you can give me some pointers. I also hope Lucy persuades Gardner to humor you with a union celebration. She would make such a cute flower girl!!!
Love you lots!
Talk to you soon,
Sara K. Pile
